RPG Site: Even though it was released less than a week ago, Tarnished Crown has had an incredible amount of content already. You can easily explore the world for 100+ hours, because of that all of the most important gameplay mechanics and the endgame content are detailed and polished. However, even though it looks visually stunning, it still does not work as a game, due to awful and boring combat, bland and uninspired soundtrack, and a protagonist that’s just far too weak. (4.5/10)

RPGman: The gameplay looks way too arcade-like. It’s also the most boring combat I’ve ever seen in an RPG.

RPG Maestro: It’s a bare minametal action RPG that has an incredibly old-looking engine, but even so the developers managed to add in a lot of innovative features. It’s not a bad-looking game, but it feels limited in many aspects. The game’s story is nice, but not very original. The gameplay is fun, but there are a lot of inconsistencies. The game’s world is gorgeous, and it has a ton of side quests to complete. There’s a lot of content to sink your teeth into, but all of the game’s flaws will take away all the enjoyment from the player. (8.5/10)

RPG Site: Even though it’s a JRPG, it feels like a series of movements. There’s not one good reason why you should play this title, I’m just scratching the surface. You’ll be looking to explore a vast world, complete side quests, and jump around through the dungeons to beat the bosses. (8.5/10)
