Following the events of Warhammer Online, during which the Elden Ring was broken and the Elden gods went missing, the Lands Between is divided into four provinces: the Bluevale, the Forest, the Snowpeaks, and the Hyperborean Steppes.
As Tarnished, a follower of Skilj, you have been sent forth on a mission to collect the gods from the lands between, to put them back together as they were, and restore the Lands Between to its former glory.
It is not all gloom and doom, though.

What is the “Lands Between”?
The Lands Between is a fantasy world that has been sitting dormant for hundreds of years.
After the Battle of the Dark Portal that took place between the lands of Eldren and Chaos, the Lands Between was cut off from the rest of the world.
“Tarnished” is a game that takes place in the Lands Between, a world full of different settings with a massive environment that shows off a variety of exciting designs.
To explore and get a feel for the world, you can travel in either of the four provinces where the Lands Between is divided.
A vast field covered in lush green grass, a haunted and gloomy forest, a mountain barren of snow or, even further, a vast steppes. Each of the four locations gives a different impression and will allow you to enjoy a different experience.
“Tarnished” is a multilayered game with a story that travels between the thoughts and emotions of your protagonist.
